Printed
2010
I choose finger-prints as an analogy to the unique, a link that connects the personal to an historical sequence.
Printed signs all around us leaving traces in time and space, invisible, blended into other personal signs without any order. They create a continuous documentation of a situation.
Internal lines of identity are woven into a sequenced array, a silent memorial.
I dip a finger in ink impressing prints, emphasizing my personal lines creating an individual print, a personal graphic manifestation.
Epoxy, silver, photographs, eggshells, threads, roots
